The Multimedia Photo Essay

The Multimedia Photo Essay
Add To Cart

Spend three days in Maine with Kerry Payne Stailey and learn how to take your photo project from a work-in-progress to an edited, sequenced multimedia piece.

This workshop is limited to 6 participants to ensure plenty of one-on-one time for each student. Ideally suited to photographers who have been wanting to experiment with multimedia, but are unsure how, or feel they lack the technical expertise to try.

This three day lab in the heart of winter in a cozy lakeside barn will leave you confident in your ability to bing your existing or future photo projects to life and how to tap into viewer emotions through the mastery of pace, text, music and images.

You can use your own body of work, or we can use example photo essays during the daily classes.

The class will explore:

  • editing and sequencing for multimedia

  • timing, pacing, and the inclusion of text

  • using music to reinforce, not detract

  • working with custom audio tracks

  • publishing to Vimeo and social media
